Pretty much locked myself in the bedroom this weekend, watching True Blood. I finally decided to take the plunge and now I'm just gorging myself on the backlog. Two seasons and three episodes into a third is a good amount of backlog to have - enough that you have to dedicate yourself to it, but not so much that it seems insurmountable.

On a scale of 1-10, I'm at about a '6' in being embarrassed about it. The boy's probably closer to a 10.


Also, this motherfucking heat? 102 today? 96 in the apartment even now at 11 pm? There isn't much else to do but lock yourself in to the one room with A/C and do something sedentary.

I held out staunchly against the True Blood phase until last summer. Wasn't exactly too thrilled with the first season, but the second season. Dear god. Sort of awesome in a crazed way.

So yeah. Guilty pleasure.

Hello there internet stranger!

I'm 2/3 through season 2 now and it's a thousand degrees and I am still digging it. I finally gave in when 1. it became a bonding gossip in a group I'm in and 2. one of my oldest friends copped to it. It was too strange to have two diverse groups, so I gave in.

There is another major one of those in the first episode of the third season. I'll be in my bunk moments, I mean.

It's a damn sexy show.

Seeing as most of my other shows are more killin' and less sexy-time, it was about time for a change for me. It also captures some wonder - in that way, it reminds me of Carnivale at times. HBO actually does that pretty well, when it wants to.
